COMPETITION RULES

Trial ends are permitted for all competitions (apart from the Campling Cup)...

ALL competitions (with the exception of singles) are 18 ends

SINGLES
4 woods each.
Winner is the first player to 21 shots.
You cannot visit the head until your third bowl has been delivered.
You will need a marker.
2 WOOD SINGLES FOR MEN
2 woods each.
Played as the best of 5 sets, winner is the first to win 3 sets.
Each set to consist of the first to 7 shots.
Player “A” starts the first and third set. Player “B” the second and fourth. Toss a coin for fifth.
You will need a marker.
2 WOOD SINGLES FOR LADIES
2 woods each.
Played up to 21 ends
You will need a marker.
The winner is the player with the higher score when the opposition runs out of ends to score enough shots to win.
NOVICES
4 woods each.
Open to any member who has not previously won a singles competition at any bowls club.
Winner is the first player to 21 shots.
You cannot visit the head until your third bowl has been delivered.
You will need a marker.
HANDICAP
4 woods each.
Players should start with their handicap on the scoreboard.
Winner is the first to 21 shots.

OPEN SINGLES
4 woods each.

PAIRS
4 woods each.
Play to comprise 21 ends.
MIXED PAIRS
As above.
AUSTRALIAN PAIRS
4 woods each.
First players send 2 woods each, change ends, second players send 4 woods each, change ends, first players send last 2 woods. Therefore each team member plays both positions.
Game played over 18 ends.
CAMPLING CUP – MIXED TRIPLES
3 woods each.
Teams from Pool “A” will play each other.
Teams from Pool “B” will play each other.
The winner of “A” will play the winner of “B” in the final.
Each game to consist of 6 ends.
No visiting the head by anyone.
No trial ends.
